25.3.03

*ahem*
I'm back from Mexico now.

With a sunburn, and sudden cravings for: mouth-burning flavour, chicken, sunshine, hugs...more photo opportunities that one can imagine, the sound of spanish in my ears (and the beginnings of understanding), a drier climate, shorts, chilly showers...a killer exchange rate, bumpy bus rides and the thrill of picking bugs out of my oatmeal.

Yes. It was a good trip. And I believe...the beginnings of a new chapter in my life, the magnitude of which I cannot grasp or define.

STUFF THAT HAS GONE MISSING FROM MY ROOM
(and I want it all back).
* CD-- Wilco, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (did I loan this out? Or just misplace it...ooh...maybe my bro has it. I'll ask him).
* photo-- of Ryaneph, Andwer, Robbie T, and Julie (in the background). Snatched from my wall...*
* photo-- of me, Rachael Bingham, and Dave Phillips, chillin' @ camp...taken from my closet door, and replaced with another photo...(not so mysterious, because of the pic left in it's place, but I thought I'd give a shout out on the beelog anyway).

LAAAAME!!!
If anybody knows where this stuff is, I'd be stoked if you told me, or just got it back.
have a great dinner okay. godbless you my sister.of.love. later

it's the little things like that which make my day.

*sighs*

Music fans,

After an amazing sold-out Vancouver show last year, Australia's The Vines return
for another night of rock Tuesday, March 18 at the Commodore Ballroom. One of
the hottest bands of the year, The Vines with special guests AM Radio are the
ones to see!

The Vines

Commodore Ballroom
Early show: Doors 7pm / Show 7:30pm

*I got this in an email from House of Blues.com...
my question was this...didn't the Vines play @ Richard's? That's not a huge venue, or hard to "sell out" is it?*

Something to chew on...

"The contagious joy of Jesus (only carriers can pass it on) infected and freed His followers. The author of Hebrews says: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (13:8)

If Jesus appeared at your dining room table tonight with knowledge of everything you are and are not, total comprehension of your life story and every skeleton hidden in your closet; if He laid out the real state of your present discipleship with the hidden agenda, the mixed motives, and the dark desires buried in your psyche, you would feel His acceptance and forgiveness.

For "experiencing God's love in Jesus Christ means experiencing that one has been unreservedly accepted, approved, and infinitely loved, that one can and should accept oneself and one's neighbour. Salvation is joy in God which expresses itself in joy in and with one's neighbour." "

-Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel.

SCARY EVENT OF THE DAY>>>
I wrote to cap music to request the audition requirements, and the lady wrote back to say that she hasn't received my application...
*ahhhhh!!!!*
Which is just weird, because she'd already sent me a letter saying they'd received my application, telling me when teh audtions are, and to ask for the audition requirements...
and I've received a letter stating academic acceptance to the college..

So I wrote back and told her all that.
We'll see what happens.

Good thing today: the singing carpenter came back, and made my afternoon (and fixed the cupboard door!)

And last night was amazing. Rachael and Pete came over, and that was sweet...before they came I talked to Nicole on the phone, then Erina Joy called, and just as I finished talking to her, Jessica M. called...
as I said to her, "Rachael and Pete are here, but God seems to have annointed tonight for something else."

Hmm...weird.
I also put up some *NEW* pictures....yay!

Okay, that's all. No really great daycare stories today...except Marko's face when he realized that he hadn't lost his coat at all...He didn't even bring it to school today!!!
OOOoooooooooh!
a pleasant interlude:
this morning, a wonderful gentleman walked into my daycare to inspect/fix a broken cupboard door.
he spoke with a british accent, and had a lovely, warm smile. Very grandfatherly.

when he left, he was "dum, dum, dum"-ing a tune as he walked out the door.

*sighs*

I think that made my day.
