you live out where the street ends
in a basement apartment with one of your friends
and the tap drips all night, water torture in the sink.
the furnace is burning but it's still cold, I think.

that takes me back. to a better time and place? perhaps. a different one for certain.

People ask me how I liked Australia. I feel obliged to say that it's a beautiful country, which it is. But that's not what I loved. No, no, no.
This track of mind, of conversation, of analysis, of wishing and hoping and looking back, and crying at memories...it's getting old.
and I'm getting sad.

But for now, I'm out at the hideout.
Out on the far side of town.
You can come, you can stay, if there's something you need...
to get away from.
i had something i really wanted to post...
and now I can't remember what it was.
But, a word to the wise...the hardest part of breaking up is getting back your stuff.

27.1.03

CD's of today..
Sam Roberts- mini album (the full length wasn't there, but this isn't an "EP").
Diana Krall- live from paris

I am a shopaholic.
It's like I can't help but spend money.
Argfgh.
On the news today...
The terrain of Mount Seymour looks like, "a dog with a bad rash."

eww...?

24.1.03

I suppose the question is...
has anyone ever written that blog about me...?
Discovery of the day...
app-ar-ent-ly, the supervisor for my daycare, the fella I have problems with...HE IS A CHRISTIAN!?
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!?
Never, ever, ever in a million years would I have guessed that about him.
*woah*
...before I know it, I'm out the door late *doh!*, just trying to catch some rat (!?) or some race (?!) or something...
I'm not quite sure what it is...*think, think, think* ... but for now, well, I'd best keep running (slow motion).
And by 9am (when my first shift ends) my brain and my body, they FINALLY decide to meet, and we come to the same conclusion as yesterday....
I NEVER get ENOUGH sleep!!!!!

Sleep, no, I never get enough (studies have shown...) I'm always waking up tired (ugh...*yawn*...zone).
Sleep, nope, I never get enough...*sighs* if I don't show up (or if I say too much) I might get fired.
(would that really be so bad?...well, yes. No more free breakfasts...heh)
I...I might get FIRED!?

Thank-you, Riley Armstrong.

20.1.03

ok, that blood muffins thing is kinda gross when it's read, as opposed to spoken.
or spaked.
eeew...
funny...
from a David Letterman top 10 list....
"how to know your neighbour is a mad scientist making clones" or something like that.
#...something..."you announce that your wife is having twins, and he scoffs, 'amateur!'".
Hahhaa hahahaa...hahahahahhahha..ahhahhahhahha.aaaaaaaaaaa....

There.
That laughter was JUST for zoe and jo.
MUUUUUUUUUUUAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

19.1.03

Quotations of the day!
from Dogma...
"...I have a problem with anybody who sees God as a burden, not a blessing. You people don't celebrate your faith, you mourn it."
Aaaand...
from the new music (2002 in review)...
"You can bomb the world to pieces, but you can't bomb it into peace."

18.1.03

*giggling*
"Is there blood in these muffins?"

*teeheehee...*
Scenes from daycare keep replaying in my mind, some funny, some sad, some touching--but in hindsight most of them are funny.
Heh.
Such as....
Kitchen scene 6.
Melinda is putting muffins on the cooling rack in the kitchen. These muffins have strawberry jam baked into them. But because there wasn't enough batter, the strawberry jam is sort of EVERYWHERE.
Enter Timothy.
"Ewww!!! Is that blood!? Did you made blood muffins!? Eww..."
Exits kitchen, as Melinda replies,
"No Timothy. Not blood. Just strawberry blood."
Enter Urdem.
"They're spreading rumours about you, you know."
Exits kitchen.
At this point, Melinda wonders what is going on...
Julianne enters kitchen.
"(pointing out the door behind her, and looking rather concerned), Timothy says you put blood in the muffins...is there real blood in them?"
"No honey, it's just strawberry jam.".
"(while exiting kitchen) See Timothy, I told you..."
The argumentative chatter of the children clouds Melinda's brain as she ponders this latest incident.
"Blood muffins!? Whatthestink!?"

*sighs*

This one has had me on the floor laughing with tears all night. Well, most of the night. Mind you, I'm so tired I can hardly keep my eyes ope...

*Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...Zzzzzzzzzzzzz....*

15.1.03

Dependability, I'm all about it.
Things that are regular, stable, unchanging.
Like the time it takes to drive to church and back.
Without fail, a 7-minute journey.
*sighs*
As much as I hate to admit it, I love a routine, something normal that I can adhere to, even when I'm mostly asleep.

12.1.03

with the job....I can leave @ 5:30pm on Thursdays "for now". ARgh. Oh well. It works.
Now, all I must do is figure out how to fend off Mrs.Maguire when she realizes I'm late every week....*cowers in fear*.

10.1.03

Well...the job thing...haven't heard back from the #$(@)$^)($)(*@#^^ yanker. We shall see.

My faith is like shifting sand,
changed by every wave.
My faith is like shifting sand,
so I stand on grace.

Stand on grace.

9.1.03

another CD of 2002 I forgot
Wilco: Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (it goes undered "plundered").

Oh yes, and compared to the last few days...today sucked.
The job offered is possibly being yanked...just because I want to leave around 5 or 5:30pm or when there's less than 10 kids on Thursdays, so I can go to Bach Choir.
I am so mad, and so sad.
The #$@(%*^&&## yanker called @ work, @ the start of my shift...so I was nearly in tears most of the time.
Still am.
Stupid, stoopid, stoooopid!

*raps gavel to call order*
HELLO!
Unlike my friend Ash, I did in fact chronicle every single day of last year (in a Norman Rockwell Appointment Book). It's pretty cool, actually.
Anyway, I celebration of a new year beginning, I will post some of those days chronicled.
They aren't all that exciting, but alas....don't stress it yo yo.

jan.2, 2002 *bank holiday (Scotland)*
"Umm...lots of sleep. Lunch with Mum, Dad and Liz. Bus to the Quay to buy rings, then back home. Umm...Friday is Justin day. T-minus 8 days [until I was set to leave for Australia]. Lots of shopping to do--good news--converters for $5 in Australia. Finally talked with Kevin."

So, there ya go. Enjoy.
